5.1.1. Order Service, Starting a Sale, Order Details

This area only pertains to orders with products and/or services that are purchased on the current sale.

The Order Detail Feature lists all of the products and services sold on the order. It is divided into seven areas: product/service selection, quantity, unit price, unit discount, sale price, line total and line item deletion. Read below for more information about these areas.

Product/service Selection

Click on an empty cell in the product or service column and a down arrow will appear in the right side of the cell accompanied by a drop-down list of the products or services available from the database.
Select the applicable product or service.

Quantity Entry

Click on the Quantity cell to change the number of line products/services to be purchased. Valid quantities are 1 to 999.

Changing Unit Price

Although it is not recommended, you may manually change the unit price for the line item. Once you go to another line or area of the program the total price of the changed line will be updated.
Note however, that the actual product/services line price in the database is not affected.

Discount and Sale Price

These two columns are not editable as they are supplied from the Product/service Information.

Line Total

This value is calculated automatically based on line price and quantity entered.

Line Item Deletion

Select the product line and click the [Order Detail Delete] button on the top left corner of the Order Details grid.
