After setting up your company, the next step is to prepare your inventory. This procedure is important because several facets of Innova rely on the categories set in this Service. Like the other Services, the layout of the Product Service will be familiar. Yet it isn't until you start entering items that the true power of this Service is revealed.

With this Service, you can:

• Manage two separate lists of items; one for products and the other for services
• Construct an elaborate system of Categories that group items
• Keep track of inventory levels
• Customize the durations of services. These durations are used extensively in the Appointment Scheduler.
• Establish tax rules and discounts (tax names and rates are based on settings in the Setting the Tax Rates chapter)
