12. Appointment Scheduler Service

The Innova Appointment Scheduler Service is fashioned to make appointment scheduling more efficient. This Service ensures that neither customers nor consultants will never be double-booked. It will also disallow you from setting more appointments than can be handled per room and giving consultants appointments when they aren't on shift.

Furthermore, you have the power to view an entire day at a glance.

Setting appointments

The Appointment Scheduler receives the services to appoint from the Order Service. There is no way to initially set an appointment from any other location in the program. Once set, you are free to move appointments from time-to-time, room-to-room, or day-to-day.

1. If you have not already done so, create an order with at least one service. The Appointment Scheduler only recognizes services.
2. Go to the "Appointment" tab
3. Set the date. If the date is not entered, the current date is assumed
4. Fill in any comments you wish
5. Click [Set] to open the Appointment Scheduler Service
6. Choose a room for the appointment
7. Select a service from the "Service(s) Not Set" list. The cursor changes to the "drop page" cursor.
8. Drop the service in any open time slot for a consultant.
9. Continue setting services in the same manner.

Services will not be set if: the room is full, the service cannot be performed in the room, the service will overrun the next appointment, or the consultant is not on shift.

Any fields with a green background are not editable. They are display fields only.

How to Cancel (Unset) or Move a Scheduled Appointment

You can cancel or move an appointment in order to free that time slot for other appointments.

• To remove an appointment from the Scheduler, double click the service. The removed service item will then be available for a future appointment setting. By using the "Set" and "Unset" capabilities previously mentioned you have the ability to move a scheduled appointment to any other time slot or date.
• services that have been unset are updated in the order. There is no need to worry that the service will be unavailable after you leave the Appointment Scheduler window.
